Ileana D'Cruz is an Indian actress and model, who started her career on the national stage in Bollywood in 2012 with her debut appearance in Barfi. A Pune born, she started her career with modeling, gracing many ramp shows and advertisements. She then moved to regional Indian cinema, with Devdasu a Telugu film and Kedia Tamil film before appearing on the national stage. Her fair and lovely commercial directed by Rakesh Roshan gave her the exposure she needed to take her career to the next level, feature films. Currently, she has several Telugu, Tamil and Bollywood hits under her belt. Her success as an actress has won her multiple Best Female Debut (filmfare, Zee Cine) awards and have nominated her for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress at multiple platforms.
Ileana D'Cruz has shown us that she is very capable of maintaining a well-balanced approach to work and personal life. Whether she is working on big projects like Amees Bazmee’s Mubarakanand Milan Luthria’sBaadshaho, or spending time with Australian boyfriend Andrew Kneebone, she is all charm and grace. She was last seen with National Award winning actor Akshay Kumar, in their brilliant collaboration in Rustom. In April, D'Cruz lit fire to Instagram, when she shared her picture at Turtle Island Fiji (courtesy of her photographer boyfriend). While their bond is very strong, she believes that mystery is important and that marriage is over rated, so she has decided to take her time with her relationship.
Recently, she has taken a stand against cyber bulling and body shaming at Instagram. The actress has spoken up about embracing the beauty and discouraging hate. This is not the first time she has taken the opportunity to educate people on social media, in the past she has talked about sharing her life with her fans and clearly stated that she does not endorse it as a PR stunt but she believes that it is part of her life. Moreover, she has been very vocal about cheating in relationships and starting anew. However, while this very serious side is more reflected in the social persona of the actress, on the lighter side, she is promoting cursing through ice creams’ names; and she is very good at it!
