Rakul Preet Singh is a known Indian model
and film actress. She was born in New Delhi on 10th October 1990 to a Punjabi
family. She went to school at the Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and later
attended Jesus and Mary College to study mathematics. She played golf as a
professional at the national level.
Rakul started her modeling career as a student while in college at the age of 18 years. She made her debut in acting in 2009 with the Kannada film called Gili. She was ranked fifth in Femina Miss India pageant that was held in 2011 and later won several pageant titles such as Femina Miss Talented, Femina Miss Fresh-face and Miss India People's Choice. She decided to pursue full-time acting and made her debut in the Telugu film industry in 2011 and in the Tamil film industry in 2012 where she appeared in supporting roles.
She also made her Bollywood industry
debut in 2014 where her performance in the movie Yaariyan was well received.
Her exemplary performance in movies like Loukyam and Venkatadri Express earned
her the title of 'the new super star'. This led her to landing big acting
projects in the movies such as Bruce Lee, Nannaku Prematho, Dhruva and Kick 2.
Within a short period of two years, she became a leading actress in the Telugu
film industry.
Recently, she has been busy starring along other best actors in several upcoming movies. She looks forward to the release of these movies which she promises will be entertaining. In the movie named 'Rarandoi Veduka Chudham' set to be released on May 19th, Rakul will play her role as a village girl. In another movie titled 'Spyder' to be released by 23rd June, she will play a lead role in the spy thriller. She will also be part of the cast in a Tamil action movie named 'Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru ' that will be released by September 2017.
