Biography

Anushka Sharma was born on 1st May 1988 in a small town called Ayodha. She was brought up by her father Colonel Ajay and mother Ashima Sharma who lived in Bangalore. She joined Army School for her primary studies and later she joined Mount Carmel College where she graduated with a degree in Arts.

Anushka Sharma has won many awards during her acting career. For instance, her performance in "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" movie made her win the Film-fare Award as the Best Supporting Actress.
Family influence on her acting career.

Her father-Colonel Ajay an army officer and her mother- Ashima Sharma a homemaker and her elder brother –Karnesh Sharma; a film producer have influenced her acting skills. Being a military’s colonel daughter she joined Army school which played an important role in shaping her personality.

After college she furthered her modeling career by moving to Mumbai. She aspired to be a great model originally but later found herself engrossed in the film industry. She began her modeling career modeling for the famous Wendell Rodricks's.

Acting career

Anushka Sharma started acting Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in the year 2008 and the film was a major success. opposite Shahrukh Khan. Her second film, which was under Yash Raj was Badmaash Company, and was released on 7th May , 2010. She shot other films and has grown to be one of the best paid actresses in India.
